Etihad scored both goals in the first half, with Saleh Freij scoring the first goal in the 21st minute, before his teammate Qais Al Shawashra doubled the lead in the 45+1st minute with a rocket shot. In the second half, Laith Nasser, Abdul Rahman Al Qatarna, and Adel Abu Khadra came on as substitutes.
