Etihad Achieves the Biggest Win and Confirms its Lead in the Women's Professional League

Etihad team confirmed its lead in the women's professional football league at the end of the first half of the season, after its big win over Al Hussein with a score of 24-0, in the match that took place on Thursday evening at JFA Stadium 1 (Polo), at the start of the fifth round of the competition.

The team ended the first half with a score of 13-0, with Mai Swilem scoring five goals, two goals each for Inas AlJamaeen and Tuqa Ghazi, and one goal each for Preeti Rai, Zeina Hazim, Lina Al Saheb, and Al Anoud Ghazi.

At the start of the second half, Willimsen brought on four players from the bench: goalkeeper Sajida Issa, Hala Marrar, Kinda Al Titi, and Janna Maatouk. The team scored 11 goals in the second half, with Janna Maatouk scoring four goals, Lina Al Saheb scoring two goals, and one goal each from Hala Marrar, Inas Al Jamaeen, Al Anoud Ghazi, and Yasmin Al Ajrab, as well as an own goal from Al Hussein.

Etihad won three games in the first leg against Nashama Future 1-0, Al Istiqlal 3-0, and Amman FC 3-1, while drawing their first game with Al Orthodox 1-1.

Etihad's victory is the biggest win in the professional league this season, bringing them to 13 points and extending their lead over their closest opponents to 5 points. Player Mai Swelim was named the best player of the match, as selected by the technical committee of the Football Association.

Team coach Mary Willemsen fielded a starting lineup consisting of Malak Shank, AlAnoud Ghazi, Yasmin Al Ajrab, Takia Zakaria, Tuqa Ghazi, Zeina Hazem, Preeti Rai, Inas Al Jamaeen, Lina Al Saheb, Mai Sweilm, and Rozbahan Freij.
