Etihad Defeats Amman FC to Take Sole Lead in Women's Professional League

Team coach Mary Willemsen selected Shireen Al Shalabi, Al Anoud Ghazi, Yasmin Al Ajrab, Takia Zakaria, Tuqa Ghazi, Neomi Anima, Inas Al Jamaeen, Preeti Rai, Rosbahan Freij, Lina Al Saheb, and May Suweilm as the starting lineup.
Despite falling behind in the fourth minute of the match, the defending champions came back strongly and turned the result around, scoring three goals through May Suweilm in the 40th and 58th minutes from the penalty spot, and Rosbahan Freij in the 87th minute. Zeina Hazem, Kinda Al Titi, and Hala Marrar came on as substitutes.
With this result, Etihad took sole possession of first place in the standings with 10 points, following victories in two previous matches against Al Istiqlal and Future Nashama, and a draw with Al Orthodoxi at the start of the season, maintaining the team's unbeaten record since last season.
Etihad will face Al Hussein Irbid in the fifth and final round of the first stage on Thursday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. at JFA Stadium 1 (Polo).
