With this victory, Etihad secured qualification for the golden square of the cup championship, after obtaining its first 3 points, equal in points with Amman FC.

Team coach Mary Willemsen started with a starting lineup consisting of Malak Shannak, Al Anoud Ghazi, Yasmin Al Ajrab, Takia Zakaria, Naomi Anima, Preeti Rai, Zeina Hazem, Rosbahan Freij, Inas Al Jamaeen, May Suweilm, and Eugenia Tetteh.

It took only five minutes for Etihad to open the scoring, with Ghanaian striker Eugenia Tetteh finding the back of the net after following up on a pass from the left, before Inas Al Jamaeen doubled the lead in the 20th minute, taking advantage of a misplaced clearance from the opposition defense to power the ball into the net after it hit the crossbar.

Rosbahan Freij earned a penalty in the 59th minute, which May Swilem successfully converted with a well-placed shot to the left of the goal. Willemsen then brought on Lina Al Saheb and Tuqa Ghazi to replace Inas Al Jamaeen and Takia Zakaria.

Malak Shannak continued her brilliance between the posts in the second half, saving several dangerous shots before the opponents scored their only goal from the penalty spot in the 71st minute. The Dutch coach then made her third substitution, bringing on Kinda Al Titi instead of Zeina Hazem.

Al Titi made her mark two minutes after entering the field, scoring the fourth goal in the 84th minute after Al Sahib fired a long-range rocket that hit the crossbar, before Al Titi followed up to score. Al Titi returned to score the fifth goal one minute before the end of regular time with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area that found the right side of the net.

Etihad will face its opponent, Amman FC, in the third round on Tuesday, the 30th of this month, at King Abdullah II Park Stadium in the Al Muqabalin area.
