Etihad Regains its Balance in the Preliminary Round of the Asian Champions League and Beats Sdyushor with a Hat-trick

Etihad regained its balance in the preliminary round of the AFC Women's Champions League after defeating its opponent, Sdyushor from Kyrgyzstan, by three goals to one in the second round of Group C, in a match held today at Hang Jebat Stadium in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur

Etihad dominated the first half, wasting several scoring opportunities, most notably a shot by Cidalia Cuta over the goal in the 9th minute and a powerful shot by Zeina Hazem that was saved by goalkeeper in the 45+1st minute, ending the first half in a goalless draw.
Ghanaian striker Eugenia Tetteh came on as a substitute at the start of the second half, and Etihad scored their first goal before the end of the first minute with a powerful shot from Cuta, after a perfect assist from Inas Al Jamaeen, who also set up Eugenia Tetteh's second goal in the 58th minute.
Tetteh scored her second goal and Etihad's third in the 65th minute, after a perfect assist from Rosbahan Freij. Four players then came on as substitutes at different times: Lina Al Saheb, May Suleim, Kinda Al Titi, and Tuqa Ghazi. The opponents scored their only goal in the 71st minute.

The team's three goals were scored by Cidalia Cuta in the 46th minute and Eugenia Tetteh in the 58th and 65th minutes, leaving the team's hopes of qualifying for the continental finals hanging in the balance in the final round, where they will face Malaysian opponent Kelana United next Sunday at 3:45 p.m.
Team coach Mary Willemsen started the match relying mainly on Shireen Al Shalabi, Al Anoud Ghazi, Lydia Krampah, Takia Zakaria, Naomi Anima, Lana Faras, Preeti Rai, Zeina Hazem, Inas Al Jamaeen, Rosbahan Freij and Cidalia Cuta.
