Etihad U13 Shines and Secures a Big Win at the U13 League
Etihad defeated their opponents Al Mwaqar 5-1 in the U13 Promising League, in the second round of the second stage of the competition, in a match held today, Saturday, at the English School Ground

Etihad head coach Faisal Al Kaabneh fielded a starting lineup consisting of Uday Abu Suneina, Ous Al Kabrite, Abdullah Al Shobaki, Saif Al Din Sandouqa, Muhammad Al Ziyoud, Youssef Ahmad, Zakaria Al Shatrat, and Majdal Al Din Abu Awad
Etihad started the match with offensive pressure, but Al Mwaqar opened the scoring with a direct free kick, after goalkeeper Uday Abu Suneina parried the ball only for Al Mwaqar ’s striker to follow up and put it in the net. Etihad ’s response was swift, as the players intensified their attacking efforts and succeeded in turning the tide, with Youssef Ahmed and Mohammed Al Ziyoud each scoring two goals with consecutive rocket shots from outside the penalty area, ending the first half with a 2-1 lead.
In the second half, Etihad continued to dominate play in Al Mwaqar’s half, with Mohammed Al Ziyoud scoring the third goal with a beautiful header off a corner kick, before Saif Al Din Sandouqa netted the fourth from another corner kick. Majdaladin Abu Awad capped off Etihad’s five-goal haul by scoring the fifth goal, bringing the match to a close with a well-deserved and decisive victory for Etihad.
In the third round, Etihad will face Professionals Academy on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the New English School Field.
