Etihad Beats Al Istiqlal 3-0 and Tops the Women's Professional League

In the second half, Willemsen brought on Janna Maatouk, Lamar Al Shalabi, and Kinda Al Titi, and the team scored its third goal through Rosebahan Freij in the 65th minute, who scored her third goal with the team this season and was named the best player of the match by the technical committee of the Football Association.
With this victory, Etihad temporarily moved to the top of the professional league table with 7 points, after drawing 1-1 with Al Orthodox in the first round and winning 1-0 against Future Nashama in the second round.
Etihad will face its opponent Amman FC in the fourth round next Saturday, the 11th of this month, at 7:00 p.m. at Al- JFA Stadium (Polo1).
Etihad coach Mary Willemsen fielded a starting lineup consisting of Shireen Al Shalabi, Al Anoud Ghazi, Yasmin Al Ajrab, Takia Zakaria, Tuqa Ghazi, Zeina Hazem, Lina Al Saheb, Inas Al Jamaeen, May Suweilm, Rosebahan Freij, and Preeti Rai.
Etihad took the lead in the 19th minute after Al Jamaeen made a superb pass from the middle of the pitch to her teammate May Suweilm, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and slotted the ball into the net. Suweilm then scored the second goal in the 42nd minute after Freij passed her a perfect ball, which Suleim finished off with a shot to the left of the goalkeeper.
