
Etihad Beats Al Istiqlal to Reach Jordan Women's Cup Final
Etihad defeated Al Istiqlal by a large margin of 8-1 in the semifinals of the Jordan Women's Cup competition in a match that took place on Thursday evening at JFA Stadium (Polo1)

The technical director of the Etihad team, Mary Willemsen, fielded a starting lineup consisting of Malak Shannak, Al Anoud Ghazi, Yasmin Al Silawi, Tuqa Ghazi, Lina Al Saheb, Zeina Hazem, Inas Al Jamaeen, Preeti Rai, Neomi Anima, Leen Al Btoush, and May Swelim.
It took only 10 minutes for Etihad to open the scoring through Zeina Hazem from the penalty spot, after Leen Al Btoush won the penalty. Neomi Anima then scored a hat-trick with three consecutive goals in the 15th, 17th, and 19th minutes, before Yasmin Al Silawi added the fifth goal in the 20th minute. The opponents narrowed the gap in the 35th minute from the penalty spot, but Anima ended the first half by scoring the sixth goal in the 42nd minute.
Zeina Hazem sealed the victory by scoring the seventh goal in the 55th minute with a powerful shot, before Anima scored the eighth goal and her fifth personal goal in the 75th minute. Kinda Al Titi, Nour Ahmad, and Jinan Al Saheb came off the bench.
Etihad will face Amman FC in the final of the tournament at the same stadium on Saturday, 31st of this month.
