Etihad Finishes the First Leg at the Top of the Group with a Perfect Record
Etihad defeated Al Orthodoxy 3-2 in the Jordanian Women’s Pro League in a match held Saturday evening at JFA 1 Stadium

Etihad women’s team started the match by controlling possession and tried to score in the opening minutes. Eleven minutes into the game, Haya Abu Ali opened the scoring after putting pressure on an opposing defender, winning the ball back, and putting it in the net. Haya then extended the lead with her second goal following a superb pass from Yasmin Silawi. Al Orthodoxy managed to narrow the gap at the end of the half with a goal off a corner kick, bringing the first half to a close with a score of 2–1.
In the second half, Etihad continued to dominate and control possession, pressing for another goal. Carrie Lee Consolino scored Etihad’s third goal, but Al Orthodoxy fought back to narrow the gap once again with a goal off a free kick, and the match ended with a 3-2 victory for Etihad.
Etihad’s Haya Abu Ali was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
Etihad will face Al Istiqlal in its next match on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at JFA 1 Stadium.
